MIDI Air Drums of the Day

MIDI Air Drums of the Day: Israeli electronics hacker Maayan Migdal used some hand rakes, a pair of sandals and an Arduino Uno controller to put together a set of MIDI air drums.

The rakes transformed into drumsticks after Migdal removed their claws and installed accelerometers and USB ports. The left stick is mapped to the hi-hat, while the right stick handles the snare and crash cymbal. The sandals have USB ports and light sensors installed, and they act as pedals for the hi-hat and bass drum.

Check out the whole setup in a video after the jump.
