Studio Visit - Brian Ulrich

I showed Brian the Electro-bike. He had a lot of feedback, but I feel that the context wasn't proper. The bike needs to be shown in a context of use, by many people, such as at a show opening.

So, out of context, the bike had many issues, (as, I'm sure there are many issues with the bike in context)

- issue of choice - to get on the bike or not get on the bike
- invitiation to physical engagement
- the objectness (as a bike its useless as its locked in place, so its not that inviting)
- seductiveness - should the bike be more seductive
- does the bike actually pull away from the social?
- is the bike uninviting as an object? it looks like a stolen bike.
- how do i want the bike to be read?
- is it to gain control? to manipulate behaviour?
- it's a rude gesture
- short experience, too short maybe?
- issue of display? sustained viewing?
